CITY COUNCIL VIRTUAL MEETING MINUTES <br />Wednesday, February 3, 2021 <br />A virtual meeting of the City Council of the City of Bremerton was called to order Wednesday, <br />February 3, 2021, at 5:30 PM with Council President Kevin Gorman presiding. Council Members <br />present were Eric Younger, Mike Simpson, Michael Goodnow, Lori Wheat, and Leslie <br />Daugs. Council Member Pat Sullivan was absent. Also present were City Attorney Roger <br />Lubovich; City Clerk Angela Hoover; Legislative Office Manager Lori Smith; and Kelly Wells, <br />Information Technology. <br />President Gorman read a statement that per an amending proclamation issued by Governorinslee <br />extending the "Stay Home — Stay Healthy" order to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, the <br />Council Meetings are allowed to be conducted virtually until the order is rescinded... <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />2A — Claims & Check Register: Check Numbers 392456 through 392590 and EFT-V32236 <br />through EFT-V32305 in the amount of $2,436,467.32; Regular Payroll for Pay Outs <br />ending December 31, 2020 in the amount of $1,568.00; Regular Payroll for pay period <br />ending January 15, 2021 in the amount of $966,336.94; and Retiree Payroll for pay period <br />ending January 31, 2021 in the amount of $53,136.23 <br />2B — Minutes of Meeting — January 20, 2021 <br />2C — Minutes of Study Session — January 27, 2021 <br />2D — Minutes of Joint Planning Session — January 30, 2021 <br />2E — Public Works Agreement with Pipeline Video Inspection LLC dba AIMS Companies for <br />Burwell/Warren Sewer Pipe Cleaning and Video Inspection <br />2F — Five -Year Contract Extension Addendum to Maintenance Agreement with Otis Elevator <br />Company for Elevator Service, Maintenance, and Monitoring <br />There were no questions or comments from the public... <br />5:33 M/S/C/U (Wheat/Daugs) Move to approve the CONSENT AGENDA as presented. <br />GENERAL BUSINESS — There were no General Business items... <br />MAYOR'S REPORT — Mayor Wheeler... <br />• Commented that Saturday's Joint Planning Session with Council Members and Department <br />Directors was very productive; <br />• Was pleased the Bremerton National Airport was still on the shortlist of 6 facilities being <br />considered to undergo future commercial air expansion; and <br />• Proclaimed how fortunate we are to live in such a beautiful part of the country; and proudly <br />announced that Bremerton has been chosen for several national recognitions including the <br />39th Most Affordable Beach Town in America (2021); one of the Top 50 Metros in the United <br />States to Get Physically Fit (2021); 3rd Most Affordable City for Tech Workers (2020); and one <br />of the 9th Most Arts -Vibrant Mid -Sized Areas (2020). <br />PUBLIC RECOGNITION <br />Anna Mockler reiterated her request for Council to provide the status of COVID-19 using <br />information from the Kitsap Public Health District; and encouraged Council Members and the <br />community to please support local food banks. <br />
