CITY COUNCIL STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />Wednesday, August 26, 2020 <br />A virtual Study Session of the City Council of the City of Bremerton was called to order on <br />Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at 5:00 PM, with Council President Eric Younger presiding. Council <br />Members present were Mike Simpson, Michael Goodnow, Lori Wheat, Kevin Gorman, Leslie Daugs, <br />and Pat Sullivan. Christine Grenier, Legislative Assistant, was present to provide staff support. <br />President Younger established that to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, the City Council is <br />conducting a virtual meeting, with Council Members and staff participating remotely. He further <br />established that the Study Session was open for the public to listen in, but there would be no <br />opportunities for input; no action is anticipated; and the content of these items is subject to change. <br />A. BRIEFINGS ON AGENDA ITEMS <br />1. Discussion on Possible Changes to City of Bremerton Fireworks Legislation — City Attorney <br />Roger Lubovich; and Brett Jette, Assistant City Attorney II Information only <br />B. GENERAL COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />o Public Works Committee Briefing (08118120 Meeting) — Chair Kevin Gorman <br />o Finance &Parking Committee Briefing (08/25/20 Meeting) —Chair Michael Goodnow <br />o General Council Business was discussed. <br />President Younger announced the next City Council Meeting would be held remotely on <br />Wednesday, September 2 unless Governor Inslee does not extend the OPMA exemption.
