CITY COUNCIL VIRTUAL MEETING MINUTES <br />Wednesday, August 19, 2020 <br />A virtual meeting of the City Council of the City %J Bremerton was called to order Wednesday, August <br />191 2020, at 5:30 PM with Council President Eric Younger presiding. Council Members present were <br />Mike Simpson, Michael Goodnow, Lori Wheat, Kevin Gorman, Leslie Daugs, and Pat Sullivan. Also <br />present were City Attorney Roger Lubovich; City Clerk Angela Hoover; Legislative Office Manager <br />Lori Smith; and Dave Sorensen, Information Services Manager. <br />President Younger read a statement that per an amending proclamation issued by Governor Inslee <br />extending the "Stay Home — Stay Healthy" order, the City Council will conduct Council Meetings <br />virtually through the month of August. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />2A — Claims & Check Register: Check Numbers 390312 through 390433 and Electronic Fund <br />Transfers V21523 through V21568 in the amount of $2,084,742.76; Regular Payroll for the <br />pay period ending July 31, 2020 in the amount of $915,796.48; Regular Payroll (Pay out) <br />for the pay period ending July 31, 2020 in the amount of $12,271.36 <br />21[3— Minutes of Meeting — August 5, 2020 <br />2C — Minutes of Study Session — August 12, 2020 <br />2D — Local Agency Contract with Tucci & Sons, Inc. for the 6th Street Phase I Pavement <br />Preservation Project for Street Improvements between Callow Avenue and Naval Avenue <br />2E — Professional Services Agreement with Parametrix Inc., for the Ostrich Bay Creek <br />Stormwater Treatment Project <br />2F — Supplemental Agreement No. 5 with Parametrix, Inc. for the Kitsap Lake Elementary Safe <br />Routes to School Project <br />2G — Public Works Agreement with Industrial Coatings Unlimited, LLC for Steel Reservoir <br />Exterior Coating Maintenance (2020) <br />2H — Interlocal Agreement Work -Order with Kitsap County for 2020 Striping Services <br />There were no questions or comments from the public.. . <br />5:34 M/S/C/U (Daugs/Gorman) Move to approve the CONSENT AGENDA as presented. <br />GENERAL BUSINESS <br />3A —CONFIRM APPOINTMENT OF ASIA RENEE CREECH TO THE ARTS COMMISSION: <br />Mayor Greq Wheeler requested confirmation for the appointment of Asia Renee Creech to the <br />Arts Commission. This position became vacant due to a Commissioner's resignation. The term <br />expires December 31, 2021. Ms. Creech is a nine-year resident. <br />Asia Renee Creech expressed that she was very passionate about art, and that she really looked <br />forward to serving on the Arts Committee. <br />5:39 Main Motion was made by Daugs; and seconded by Wheat...
