DIGITAL RECORDING <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br />Wednesday, January 17, 2018 <br />The weekly meeting of the City Council of the City of Bremerton was called to order Wednesday, <br />January 17, 2018, at 5:00 PM in Council Conference Room 603 of the NORM DICKS GOVERNMENT <br />CENTER, 345 6th Street, Bremerton, Washington, with Council President Eric Younger <br />presiding. Council Members present were Michael Goodnow, Kevin Gorman, Leslie Daugs, and Pat <br />Sullivan. Richard Huddy was absent. Also present were City Attorney Roger Lubovich; City Clerk <br />Shannon Corin; Legislative Assistant Lori Smith; and Kevin Matthew, Information Services Manager. <br />A COUNCIL BRIEFING was held to discuss General Council Business at 5:00 PM in the Council <br />Conference Room. At 5:30 PM the meeting moved to the Meeting Chambers. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Council Member Pat Sullivan followed by the invocation <br />provided by Pastor Rob Steinbach of Seaside Church. <br />SWEARING-IN CEREMONY <br />Judcie James Docter administered the Oath of Office to newly appointed District 4 Council Member <br />Tony Hillman. Council Member Hillman was then seated at the Dais for the remainder of the <br />meeting. <br />MAYOR'S REPORT — Mayor Wheeler... <br />• Summarized what has been accomplishment during his first 2 weeks in office. <br />PUBLIC RECOGNITION <br />Heather Toomire expressed concern that her family is experiencing difficulty in finding an affordable <br />place to live for her and her family. <br />Terry Fessner discussed what he has been experiencing with the homeless as a business owner <br />downtown, especially after hours. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />6A — Claims & Check Register: Check Numbers 377076 through 377251, and EFT -18111 through <br />EFT -18161 in the amount of $3,279,821.24; Regular Payroll for the pay period ending <br />December 31, 2017 in the amount of $734,512.88; and Regular Payroll (Pay Out) for the pay <br />period ending December 31, 2017 in the amount of $28,283.42 <br />61B — Minutes of Meeting — January 3, 2018 <br />6C — Minutes of Study Session — January 10, 2018 <br />6D — Confirm Appointment of Dino Davis to the Bremerton Planning Commission <br />6E — Interlocal Participation Agreement with BuyBoard® National Purchasing Cooperative <br />6F — Local Agency Contract with MJ Hughes Construction, Inc. for West Belfair Valley Road and <br />Tracyton Beach Road Innovative Safety Project <br />6G — Illumination Upgrades by Puget Sound Energy on SR303 (Wheaton Way) from Sheridan Road <br />to NE Riddell Road <br />6H — Resolution No. 3302 adopting the Comprehensive Solid & Hazardous Waste Management <br />Plan for Kitsap County <br />There were no questions or comments from the public. <br />05:44:56 M/S/C/U (Sullivan/Daugs) Move to approve the CONSENT AGENDA as presented. <br />
