COUNCIL <br /> DIGITAL RECORDING APPROYM <br /> CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES FEB 1 0 1013 <br /> Monday, February 4, 2013 <br /> A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Bremerton was called to order in the First <br /> Floor Meeting Chambers located in the NORM DICKS GOVERNMENT CENTER, 345 6 1h Street, <br /> Bremerton, Washington, Monday, February 4, 2013, at 5 00 PM, with Council President Greg <br /> Wheeler presiding Council Members present were Nick, Woff ord, Eric Younger, Carol Arends, <br /> Faye Flemister, Adam Brockus, Leslie Daugs, and Jim McDonald Also present were City <br /> Attorney Roger Lubovich, and Legislative Assistant Lori Smith <br /> President Wheeler emphasized that the Special Meeting was open to the public but there <br /> would be no opportunities for input or participation <br /> 1 Mayor Patty Lent briefed the Council on the selection of Steven Strachan as Police Chief, <br /> and requested action from the Council at their next regular meeting to confirm his <br /> appointment above Rate 1 February 6 Consent Agenda <br /> 2 The following applicants for the District 4 Appointment were interviewed (for approx 10 -15 <br /> minutes each), and in the same order that their applications were received <br /> • Anita L Albright <br /> • Jerald A McDonald <br /> • Wendy Priest <br /> • Dino T Davis <br /> • Michael Goodnow <br /> 3 Council recessed for a 20- Minute Executive Session from 6 09 to 6 29 PM to "Evaluate the <br /> Qualifications of Applicants" per RCW 42 30 110 (1)(h) President Wheeler announced that <br /> Council would take action immediately following the Executive Session <br /> 4 Vote 1 <br /> Jerald A. McDonald McDonald, Younger, Wofford (3) <br /> Wendy Priest Brockus, Flemister, Arends (3) <br /> Dino T. Davis Wheeler (1) <br /> Michael Goodnow Daugs (1) <br /> 5 Vote 2 <br /> Jerald A. McDonald McDonald, Younger, Wofford (3) <br /> Wendy Priest Brockus, Daugs, Flemister, Arends, Wheeler (5) <br /> Wendy Priest was appointed to the position of Council Member for District 4 in the City of <br /> Bremerton, Washington with current term ending December 31, 2013 <br /> President Wheeler announced that Wendy Priest will be sworn -in immediately prior to the <br /> February 6, 2013 Council Meeting, and then be seated for that meeting <br /> With no further business, the City Council Special Meeting was adjourned at 6 35 PM <br />
