TO THE HONORA~L~ Re: Acquisition of Right of Way
~AYOR A~D CITY COUNCIL for Extena~g Vandalia Ave.
Bremertcn, Wash. Bremerton, Wash.
Dear Sirs and Madam:
It has come to ~y attention that Vandalia Avenue dead
ends at the South line of Lot 24, Loudon's Rainier ~iew Addition,
which po~.~t is 135.17 feet South of the South line of East 17th
Street, as is shown on the attached map.
At one time a street was graded and graveled through
said Lot 24, but was later barricaded upon the rightful protest
of the private owner of the property. Now it is co~Jidered ad-
visable to secure this property for the purpose of opening the
street and extending Vandalia Avenue through to East 17th Street.
I herewith recommend that all of Lot 24, Loudon's
Rainier View Addition, be purchased from the present owner, R.
C. Kipp, by the City for the above-named purpose.
Yours truly,
E. S. SEVERANCE
