Severance City E~ ineer Department of Public ~Jorks C~y af Bremerton City Hall Brenerton, Washingt on Dear Sir: Pursuant to your letter of instructions, dated June 15, 1948, I have made a careful inspection of that certain property located on the Southwest corner of Seventeenth Street and Ohio Avenue~ in the City of l~remerton, ~Vashington, from which parcel a 20 foot strip of land along said Ohio Avenue is desired for streed widen- in~ purpos es. The property from which said 20 foot strip is desired~ is rec- tsngular in shape with a frontage of 179 feet on Seventeenth Street smd a depth of 150 feet along Ohio Avenue. The lot is fairly level with a northerly slope. Sewers and water are in on both streets. Both streets -are surfaced with oiled gravel but there are no sidewalks, curbs or gutters. Street Purposes Bremerton, Wash. Dear Sirs and ~,fadmm.: Plans are now being prepared for a proposed Local Lmprove- merit District on Ohio Avenue between 13th Street anS. 19th Street for construction of sidewalks, curbs and gutters, and in order to have a uniform job, it will be necessary to acquire additional right of way for Ohio Avenue, as follows: The East 20 feet of the following-described property: Beginning 538.5 feet 'Vest of the Southeast corner of Govern- merit Lot 2, Section 14, Township 24 North, Range 1 East, W.M.; said point being the true point of beginning; thence West 179 feet; thence North 765.16 feet; thence East 179 feet to the ~?est line of Ohio Avenue; thence South along said West line 765.16 feet to the true point of b~ginning, EX~CEPT the South 615.16 feet thereof. As is indicated on the accompanying map, acquisition of this strip of land will bring the ?:~est margin of Ohio Avenue into proper aligmment. ~n appraisal of the land has been made and a value of $275 placed upon it.
