~.ERE~S, the County of Kitsap, St~ e of Washington has fore-
closed its llen for taxes upon the following described property
and the City of Br merton has unpaid delinquent assessments against
said property and Local I~?rovement District ~Io. 104, and has paid
the taxes thereon as by law provided, and now held said property in
trust for said district; and
VfqER~S, the City Council of the Cit~' of Bremerton at its regu-
lar meeting on the 14th day of April, 1948, adopted Resolution No.
c~ ~/~, providing for the sale of said property to Margaret Adams,
a widow, for the sum of $27~.00, and did e~thorize the ~ayor and
the City Gler~ thereof to execute a deed of said premises to the
purchaser; 'now, therefore
In ~ursuance of said resolution, the City of Bremerton, a muni-
cipal corporat[on'of the State of washington, for and in consideration
of the sum of $.B75.00 to it in hand paid, conveys and quit claims
unto ~argaret ,d~.s, a widow, all of its right, title and interest
in and to the followir, g real property either in its own name or as
trustee and any local i~!~rovement district, to-wit:
Lot ~, Block 4, peter Hesser's First Addition to
Bremerton,according to the official plat thereof
IN ~ITNESS k~EP,~OF, the City of Bremerton, a municipal corporation
of the State of Washington, has caused these presents to be si~ed
by the Zayor and attested by the City Clerk, and the seal of the city
affixed thereto this 14t1% day of April, 1948.

CONTRACT ~,
~IE~EAS~ the City of Bremerton is the owner of the real
property hereinafter described, as trustee for Local Improvement
Dish, ct No. IOA of the City of Bremerton and the bondholders of
said distr~ct, and has by resolution authorized the l~ayor and
City Clerk to sell said property to Margaret A ams, a widow;now
there fore
IT IS ?~_~P.1~Y AGREED by and between the City of Bremerton, a
mUnicipal corporation of the State of Washington, the seller, and
~argaret Adams, a widow~ the ~ourchaser, that the said seller will
sell to the purchaser and the purchaser will purchase from the
seller the following real pro.o~,rty in kitaap County, State c~
Washington, to-wit:
Lot 2, Block A, peter Hesser's First Addition
to Bremerton, according to the official plat
thereof
upon the following te~ms and conditions:
1. The purchase price of said property is the sum of $27~.00,
of which $E8.00 has been paid, receipt of which is he~eby acknowl-
edged and the balance of said purchase price,to-wit, the sum of
$220.00, shall be paid as follows: $20.00 or more, plus interest
at the rate of 8% per annum on ~ay lA, 15A8, and $~0.00 or more,
plus interest at the rate of 8% per annum ~ the unpsl d balance
monthly thereafter until the purchase price and interest shall have
been paid.
2. Purchaser agrees to pay all as ~essments and taxee which
may hereafter become due and payable, and the purchaser agrees
that she will not sell or assign this contract or any interest
herein without the written consent of the seller.
Z. Time is the essence of this contract, and in the event
of the failure, neglect or refusal of the purchaser to m~ke the
payments holbein provided wheU and as the same become due, or shall
fail in any other agreements contatued herein, then the seller,at
its option, may declare this contract forfeited and all ?ayments

made thereon shall belon? to the seller as liquidated damages
and the p~rchaser shall quit and surrender possession of said
premises to the seller.
