State Highway 3 Port Orchard, Washington 98366 ATTENTION: Ms. Lynn Hills, Director, Finance & Administration Re: Port of Bremerton Purchase of City Water Utility Property Adjacent to "Jefferson" Property Dear Ms. Hills: Thank you for your letter of April 26, 1995. I am returning the $1.00 (cash) that you enclosed with your letter. The recording fee for the Statutory Warranty Deed will only be $7.00. When I originally typed the Deed and Closing Statement, the Deed came out to be two pages long. However, I was able to later squeeze the Deed onto one page which changed the recording fee from $8.00 to $7.00 and I mistakenly forgot to change the amount on the Closing Statement. I have crossed-out the $8.00 on the Purchaser's Closing Statement and have inserted the correct amount of $7.00, and am sending you a copy of the Purchaser's Closing Statement showing that change. Since we are dealing with such a small amount, I decided to just make the change on the original statement and send you a copy with the noted change. However, if Mr. Walgren would prefer that I prepare an Amended Purchaser's Closing Statement for his signature, please notify me and I will do so immediately. Thank you for your assistance. Original Statutory Warranty Deed between City of Bremerton, as Grantor, and Port of Bremerton, as Grantee, together with original corresponding 1% Real Estate Excise Tax Affidavit and check in the amount of $7.00 made payable to the Kitsap County Auditor; 2. Original Purchaser,s Closing Statement; 3. Copy of Seller's Closing Statement (original Seller's Closing Statement previously forwarded to you on 4/12/95; and 4. Copy of letter received from Lynn Hills of the Port of Bremerton and my response to her for your information and file. Please have the Deed and 1% Real Estate Excise Tax Affidavit sent to the County Auditor for recording. We will need to remember to forward the original Deed to the Port after we have received it back from the County. If you like, you can have Cherie give the original Deed to me when we get it back and I will send it to the Port for their records. I would have gone ahead and sent in or delivered the Deed and 1% Affidavit to the Auditor, however I need a $2.00 check made payable to the County Treasurer for the Excise Tax Processing fee since no excise tax is due for this transaction. If you would prefer that I do this, please return the documents to me, together with a check for the processing fee, and I'll take care of it. Finally, if we haven't already done so, we will need to pay Land Title their title insurance premium on this transaction. I have not received any invoices from Land Title, however I have attached a copy of the portion of the preliminary title report that shows the premium amount. Let me know if you want me to do anything in this regard. Please call me if you have any questions. Thank you Kathy! · Celebrating 50 ~ars of Freedom · IAN R.
