SUMMARY:

(MWC) has requested that 8Street between Warren Avenue and
Pacific Avenue be renamed to Bishop Robertson Way in honor of Bishop Lawrence Ray Robertson.
The MWC has had two public meetings, sent letters, and knocked on doors to inform affected
property owners and residents of the proposed change. Formal letters were sent from the City on

July 17to all property owners and residents.

FISCAL IMPACTS(Include Budgeted Amount):Sign replacement is approximately $1,500 and
would be a streets expenditure.

Move to adopt Resolution No.3416approving the renaming of 8Street from Warren Avenue to
Pacific Avenue to Bishop Robertson Way.
Move to adopt an honorary naming of 8th Street from Warren Avenue to Pacific Avenue to
Bishop Robertson Way.
