CONCRETE Provide concrete inspection per UBC Sect 305(a) . Concrete construction shall be tested. Concrete shall attain a 28-day stregth of f'c = 2000 psi for slab and foundation work and f'c = 3000 psi for all walls. Any use of add mixtures shall be approved by Owner. STEEL REINFORCING Reinforcing steel shall conform to ASTM A-615-68, Grade 60, unless otherwise called for on the plans. Lap all continous bars 30 bar diameters minimum. Provide corner bars at all wall intersections to match normal horizontal reinforcing. Lap corner bars 30 diameters. All slabs shall have a minimum wire mesh reinforcing of 6 x 6 x W1. 4 x W1.4 WWF unless noted otherwise on the drawings. WWF shall conform to ASTM A - 185. Lap adjacent mats of WWF one full mesh at sides and ends. Details shall be prepared by the Contractor and submitted to the Owner for review. Wall panels shall be adequately supported with bracing until secured to supporting structure. Wall reinforcing shall be rigidly supported on concrete blocks or an approved equal to assure proper placement. A Curing and bond-breaking material shall be of such nature as will permit painting of concrete wall surfaces. Any material which can effect bonding of paints to walls or adhesives to slab shall be removed. Reinforcing around openings shall be as detailed. Additional reinforcing shall be added when necessary for lifting operation. All panels shall be grouted to the footing with non-shrink grout of UBC standards, f'c=2000psi. Inserts shall be properly covered after use so as to be invisible and treated to prevent surfaces stains, per Owner agreed method. See mechanical/electrical for any sleeves. All laminated members shall be AITC certified by Contractor/Supplier. PLYWOOD Plywood roof sheathing to be Standard Grade with exterior glue per UBC Standard 25-9, unless otherwise noted on the plans. Minimum plywood nailing shall be 6" o.c. at all edges and 12" o.c. at interior supports. See roof plan for specific nailing requirements. Nails to be 10d common for 5/8" plywood. Stagger end laps on roof sheathing. TENANT IMPROVEMENTS Tenant Improvements shall be submitted in detail with calassification of occupancies, seperations and accesses determined in accordance with UBC. Specific reference will be made to Section 705 for seperate water closets based on occupant load and employee' s sex for future design. ,SPECIAL CONDITIONS Contractor shall verify all dimensions in the field and shall provide adequate shoring and bracing of all structural members during construction. Contractor shall notify the Owner prior to placing or installing any mechanical or electrical, plumbing and/or fire protection devices of 50# point load or more on the roof structure. SPECIAL NOTE The drawings indicate general and typical details of construction. Where conditions are not specifically indicated but are of similar character to details shown, similar details of construction shall be used, subject to the review of the Owner and Engineer. If any errors or omissions should appear in the drawings, specifications or other documents, the Contractor shall notify the Owner and Engineer of such errors or omissions before proceeding with the work, or accept full responsibility of cost to rectify error should correction be required. NOTE: The Contractor shall submitt an alter price to povide the cleaning, sealing, and painting of the exterior concrete wall panels, the painting of the metal building trims and flashings and the painting of the metal doors with primer and paint.
