MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
This Memorandum of Understanding is entered into by and between the Kitsap County
Consolidated Housing Authority ("Housing A~hority"), the City of Bremerton ("City"), and the
of Bremerton ("Port") this ~/_~_day of~, 200! . The parties express their Port
intentions as follows: --
I. RECITALS
I. 1 The parties have determined that it may be in the best interests of the public for
the parties to evaluate the acquisition of real property that is part &the Bremer estate, including
certain public parking facilities, and to evaluate the benefits of redeveloping the property to a higher
and better use.
1.2 The parties believe that the potential redevelopment is likely to be in the best
interests of the parties and the public.
1.3 The parties need to evaluate the property and the potential redevelopment to
determine whether it is appropriate to proceed.
IL PROJECT EVALUATION
II.1 The parties agree to enter into discussions with one another regarding the
potential acquisition and potential redevelopment of certain property that is part of the Bremer estate.
Those discussions are expected to include evaluation of the potential acquisition of the property;
potential options for any redevelopment; and the sharing of responsibilities ffall parties determine that
the project should ultimately proceed.
