This included providing a list of impacted property owners and renters, attending a community meeting, and asking the requesting group to notify affected property owners and tenants ofthe proposal. If a request moves forward, staff would also provide notice to all impacted properties regarding the proposed change and future Council meeting dates, so community members have an opportunity to submit written feedback or provide oral public comment. Council reached consensus to hold the ordinance until the fall. In the meantime, Council will consider the formal request to rename 8th Street, from Pacific Avenue to Warren Avenue, to Bishop Robertson Way in honor of Bishop Lawrence Robertson. The request was initiated by representatives of the Marvin Williams Center, and they have been working closely with the City thstaffbasedontheprocessusedfor7Street. A Resolution will be drafted and targeted to bring to a Study Session in late July or August. Staff will continue working with the requesting group to determine appropriate timing to ensure proper notice, and once that is confirmed, the item will be placed on the Council Agenda Calendar.
