SUMMARY:
The Bremerton Police Departmentis applying for the local solicitation of the Edward Byrne Memorial
Justice Assistance Grant (JAG)with the Department of Justice. Funding has been used to help fund
the salary of the position in the Community Resources Unit. If awarded the grant, it will allow the City
to continue with the Unit and its crime prevention function. No matching funds are required by the
City. Bremerton PD will request $16,612.00 in funding.
