Chantel Ct Bremerton, WA 98311 (360) 2'Jl-1o39 November 2, 2018 Dear Mark Cummins, It is structurally acceptable for the threaded rods used for the hold downs in the Mastick addition to have a 9" minimum embed. It is preferred to use the manufacturer's recommendation for embedment depth to maintain warranty, but not required. The maximum uplift for the project at the indicated locations is 1,080 pounds. A typical W all thread with 4'/2" minimum embed will net an allowable capacity of 3,315 pounds. Please let me know if you have any questions or need any more clarifications.
