INTERDEPARTMENTAL AGREEMENT
FOR
IRRIGATION WATER SUPPLY - GOLD MOUNTAIN GOLF COMPLEX
THIS AGREEMENT, made and emered into this ~ day of~ by and
between the City of Bremerton Water Utility, hereinafter "The Utih't3$", and the City of
Bremerton Gold Mountain Golf Complex, hereinafter "Golf Course" to set forth the
terms and conditions of the sale of irrigation water by The Utility to the Golf Course.
Scope:
Subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein, The Utility agrees to sell and deliver
to the Golf Course and the Golf Course agrees to purchase and receive water to he used
for irrigating Golf Course property at Gold Mountain.
Term:
This agreement shall become effective January 1, 2000 and shall cominue for a period of
ten years.
Interruptible Service:
Due to the water storage facilities owned by the Golf Course; and due to the need of The
Utility to meet peaking demands on its water system, it is agreed to he in the best interest
of both The Utility and the Golf Course that provision of irrigation water pursuant to this
agreemem is on an interruptible basis.
Upon notification by The Utility to the Golf Course, delivecv of irrigation water pursuant
to this agreement may he immediately suspended entirely for a period not to exceed
fourteen consecutive days. Further, provision of irrigation water may he restricted to
some lesser degree for longer periods of time. Such interruptions shall not he of such
excessive time or duration as to exceed the capacity of the Golf Course to meet its
irrigation needs from a combination of current irrigation water deliveries by The Utility
and draw-down of Golf Course water storage facilities.
Rates:
The Utility agrees to charge the Golf Course and the Golf Course agrees to pay The
Utility for all irrigation water delivered pursuant to this agreement at the rate of $.35 per
hundred cubic feet (HCF). This rate has been computed based upon considerations set
forth in the immediately preceding paragraph, detailing the Interruptible Service provided
to the Golf Course.

The above rate shall be in effect for a period of one year. Beginning January 1~ 2000 and
each calendar year thereafter, the rate will be revised by the same percentage change as
that made to the water rates for commercial customers over the preceding year.
Payment:
Payment for irrigation water supplied pursuant to this agreement shall be made on a
bimonthly basis applying the same terms and conditions as provided The Utility's retail
custoIIl~rs.
Facilities:
The Utility agrees to furnish, install and maintain all facilities necessary to provide
service at the currently established points of irrigation water delivery. Title to all such
facilities shall remain with The Utility.
Measurement:
Irrigation water provided pursuant to this agreement shall be metered where appropriate
by suitable m~tering equipment of standard manufacture. This equipment shall be
installed and maintained by The Utility at its expense. In the event of failure of metering
equipment, The Utility shall estimate the amount o£ irrigation water delivered for the
period of time during such failure.
Reporting Requirement:
The Utility shah assume responsibility for preparing, maintaining and filing all reports
required as a result of providing irrigation water pursuant to this agreement.
