SUMMARY:Permitting for the project has been delayed due to the Federal government shut-down.
With funding needing to be expended by the end of 2026, staff negotiated a contract modification
with Parametrix for additional design and permitting services required to accommodate this delay.
The project is expected to go out for bid in March 2026 with construction started mid late summer
2026. Additionally, this modification includes permitting, bid, and special construction inspection
services to be provided by the costal engineering and geotechnical engineering subconsultants
working on the project. The amendment amount is $71,302.14 bringing the contract total amount to
$918,659.60.

Account Code 56310 This change is within the budget for the project.

Improvements Project;and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the modificationwith
