SUMMARY:
Requests for proposals were advertised for the expansion of the existing mezzanine and the
construction of a dedicated office and breakroom for Streets Department staff at the Public Works
Building located at 100 Oyster Bay Avenue. American West Construction LLC of Gig Harbor,
Washington submitted the lowest responsive bid. The department requests approval of the bid award
to American West Construction LLC in the amount of $310,935.81.

FISCAL IMPACTS(Include Budgeted Amount): Bid amount is $310,935.81 including WSST. This
project is included in the 2025/2026 budget
STUDY SESSION ACTION:Consent Agenda General Business Public Hearing
RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to awardthe contractwith American West Construction LLC for the construction of the
Mezzanine addition/ Streets Office Improvements Project;andauthorize the Mayor to finalize and
execute the agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
