INTERGOVERNMENTAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT
Pursuant to Chapter 39.34 RCW and to other provisions of the
law, the City of Shelton, a municipal corporation of the State of
Washington, and the City of Bremerton, a municipal corporation of
the State of Washington, hereby agree to cooperative governmental
purchasing upon the following terms and conditions.
1. The City of Shelton, in contracting for the purchase of
goods and services for Shelton, agrees to extend said contracts
to other political subdivisions to the extent permitted by law
and agreed upon by the parties.
2. The City of Bremerton accepts responsibility for
compliance with any additional or varying laws and regulations
governing purchases by or on behalf of Bremerton. A purchase
shall be effected by a purchase order from the City of Bremerton
directed to the vendor or other party contracting to furnish
goods or services to the City of Shelton.
3. The City of Shelton accepts no responsibility for the
performance of any purchasing contract by the vendor and the City
of Shelton accepts no responsibility for payment of the purchase
price by the City of Bremerton.
4. Bremerton reserves the right to contract independently
for the purchase of any goods or services, with or without notice
to Shelton.
5. The City of Shelton reserves the right to exclude
Bremerton, or any class containing the undersigned political
subdivision or political subdivisions in general, from any

particular purchasing contract, with or without notice to the
City of Bremerton.
6. This Agreement shall continue in force until cancelled
by either party, which cancellation may be effected with or
without notice to the other party.
7. This Agreement covers all City of Shelton contracts.
