SUMMARY:Pursuant to RCW 41.56, negotiations have concluded between representatives of the
City and the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 437(IAFF)resulting in the attached
Collective Bargaining Agreement for January 1, 2025through December 31, 2027. The agreement
includes 6% cost of living adjustment for 2024, a 2.7% cost of living adjustment for 2025, and
increase of 100% of Seattle/Tacoma/Bellevue CPI-W June to June (Min. 2.0 Max 4.0). The
Collective Bargaining Agreement has been ratified by the IAFFmembership. Council approval is
required to implement this agreement.
ATTACHMENTS:1)Summary of Contract Changes; and 2) CollectiveBargaining Agreement
between the City of Bremerton and the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 437
FISCAL IMPACTS(Include Budgeted Amount): The projected additional cost of implementing this
three-year Collective Bargaining Agreement is approximately $950,600 for 2025.
STUDY SESSION ACTION:Consent Agenda General Business Public Hearing
RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Bremerton and the
International Association of Fire Fighters for 2025 through 2027 andauthorize the Mayor to finalize
and execute the agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
