This Change Order covers changes to the subject contract as described herein. The Contractor shall
construct, furnish equipment and materials, and perform all work as necessary or required to complete
the Change Order Items. The increase or decrease in contract price shown below includes any
applicable taxes.

STORMWATER REVISION
To accommodate the upcoming Ostrich Bay Creek Stormwater
Retrofit Project and the additional stormwater flows that will be
placed into the ditch on the west side of Kitsap Way, the
proposed storm lines at the SW corner of the culvert need to be
upsized. This also requires upsizing the catch basins from Type
1’s to 48” Type 2’s which are not in the contract. This change
order adds a new bid item for these structures. All other
revisions to the storm design have current contract unit bid
items that will be compensated for according to the contract unit
prices. A reconciliation of all quantity changes will be completed
with a final change order at time of project completion.
Description:
61, Catch Basin Type 2 48 In. Diam., per each (2) at $4,955.00
Construction:
The catch basins shall be installed in accordance with the
drawings provided to ACI dated 5/28/21 for this change order.
Measurement and Payment:
The above listed pay item shall be full pay for all labor,
materials, tools, and equipment required to perform the work, in
accordance wit the Standard Specifications and as described in
this change order for this item.

Contractor acknowledges and accepts that this Change Order constitutes final settlement of all claims
of any kind or nature arising from or connected with any work either covered or affected by this Change
Order, including, without limitation, claims related to contract time, on-site or home office overhead, or
lost profits. Nothing in this Change Order shall limit the City’s right to bring a claim for past performance.
The undersigned Contractor approves the foregoing Change Order as to the changes, if any, in the
contract price specified for each item, including any and all supervision costs and other miscellaneous
costs relating to the change in work, and as to the extension of time allowed, if any, for completion of
the entire work due to said Change Order.
This document will become a supplement of the contract and all provisions will apply hereto. It is
understood that this Change Order shall be effective when approved by the City of Bremerton.
The parties whose names appear below warrant that they are authorized to enter into a change order
that is binding on the parties of this contract. In addition, Contractor warrants that it has or will inform
the surety of this change, and shall take appropriate action to modify any bonds required under the
contract to address this change.

SUBJ:ACI Pricing for CO 1
Introduction
Revisions to the Ostrich Creek Stormwater Retrofit Project has additional stormwater flows
coming south along the west side ditch line to the culvert replacement project. To accommodate
these additional flows, storm mains and structures need to be upsized. Currently, the contract for
the culvert project does not have 48” Type 2 Catch Basins in the unit bid items. The City requested
pricing from ACI for upsizing the two basins that will be affected by these flows.
ACI has submitted a cost of $4,995.00 for each of the basins.
Summary
Review of the WSDOT Unit Bid Analysis website has the State average low bid for a Type 2 basin
at $3,750, with the NWR having the latest available project data (3/15/2021) and an average low
bid of $4,074.36.
The City as well recently opened bids on the Retrofit Project with 11 bids. The average bid for a
Type 2 basin for this project is $5,045.73. With the recent materials increases and the small
quantity required for this contract, I believe the ACI pricing to be fair and within reason and
recommend approval.
