SUMMARY: The attached Department of Commerce Local and Community Projects Program Grant
Agreement will provide $49,000 to assist in the preliminary survey and development of construction
drawings, specifications and cost estimates for the Pendergast Regional Park Improvement Project.
Improvements include installation of artificial turf on two dirt soccer fields, a new accessible restroom
and accessible pathways.
ATTACHMENTS: 1) Department of Commerce Grant Agreement; 2) Pendergast Regional Park
Improvement Project (Phase II) Plan.
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): This $49,000 grant requires no matching funds.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to authorize the Mayor to enter into the Agreement with the State of Washington Department of
Commerce Grant for the Pendergast Regional Park Improvement Project; and authorize the Mayor to
finalize and execute the agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
