SUMMARY:The current Comcast Franchise expired May 17, 2024. The proposed ordinance grants
an extension of the franchise to Comcast for a term of ten years through 2034.

FISCAL IMPACTS(Include Budgeted Amount): Franchise Fees annually of $297,202and an
annual PEG fee in the amount of $43,853 to fund BKAT Capital items.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to pass Ordinance No.5504togrant renewal of Telecommunications Franchise with Comcast
Cable Communications Management, LLC;and authorize the Mayorto finalize and execute the
agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
