SUMMARY: on the 2025-2026 Proposed Budget.
Budget workshops were held on October 24, October 28, and November 7 where an overview of the
Public comments will be taken into
consideration before Council adopts a final ordinance.
This is the second of two public hearings on the budget; the first public hearing was held on
November 6, 2024. The attached ordinance represents the final proposed 2025-2026 Fiscal Budget.
If adopted, this ordinance would become effective January 1, 2025.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount):
In 2025: Total proposed general fund expenditures, without ending fund balance, is $62,655,627.
With ending fund balance, total general fund expenditures are $70,746,548. Total proposed
expenditures city wide, without ending fund balance, is $187,477,762. With ending fund balance,
total expenditures city wide is $252,176,925.
In 2026: Total proposed general fund expenditures, without ending fund balance, is $59,037,082.
With ending fund balance, total general fund expenditures are $65,009,208. Total proposed
expenditures city wide, without ending fund balance, is $177,349,101. With ending fund balance,
total expenditures city wide is $235,826,441.
STUDY SESSION ACTION: Consent Agenda General Business Public Hearing
RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to pass Ordinance No. 5503 to approve and adopt the City of Bremerton Budget for fiscal years
2025 & 2026, and appropriating the amounts set forth in each fund in accordance with RCW
35.33.075.
COUNCIL ACTION: Approve Deny Table Continue No Action
