SUMMARY:
The Fire Department would like to enter a contract with Safe Boats International, LLC to build a
fire/rescue boat.This boat will be funded by the Port Security Grant from FEMA. This grant has a
25% matching funds requirement. The current boat is an aging vesselwith limited capability. The hull
is a 1991 Northwind Marinethat was repowered in 2018.The cabin on current boat does not allow
for injured patients to receive care inside.

Move toapprove the purchase agreement with Safe Boats International, LLC and authorize the
Mayor to finalize and execute with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
