Solar to Storage Feasibility Study

SUMMARY:The Department of Commerce has awarded the City of Bremerton a $100,000 no
match grant to study the feasibility of solar to storage systems at City owned facilities. Activities
include community outreach, priority project identification, planning, pre-design, cost estimation and
final documentation.Facilities will have their energy needs inventoried, and will have site conditions
evaluated for suitability of a solar and power storage system. High priority projects identified through
the study will be further developed and may be eligible for implementation grants through the same
Commerce program.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Accept award of the Department of Commerce Solar plus Storage for Resilient Communities grant of
$100,000 and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement with substantially the same
terms and conditions as presented.
COUNCIL ACTION: Approve Deny Table Continue No Action
