SUMMARY:
The city submitted a Defense Community Infrastructure Program (DCIP)Grant application on June
17, 2024,for $7,145,000 to fund construction of the CBFM.The City received notice of grant
approval on August 13, 2024.The grant application is currently being reviewed by the Office of Local
Defense Community Cooperation (OLDCC) Technical ReviewCommittee (TRC). The city will receive
the results of their review on or about September 9, 2024.Once approvedby OLDCC, the
application is sent to the US Congress for final approval. Once approvedby Congress, the city will
receive a NOTICE OF AWARD substantially similar to Attachment A.The NOTICE OF AWARD
mustbe executed and returned to OLDCC before the federal fiscal yearclosesSeptember 30, 2024.

FISCAL IMPACTS(Include Budgeted Amount):The CBFM Replacement project is identified in
the 2025-2030 Capital Improvement Program for$8M. This Grant will fund $7.145M in construction
costs out of a total project cost estimate of $7.988M.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the Defense Community Infrastructure Program Grant;and authorize the Mayor to
finalize and execute the OLDCC NOTICE OF AWARD,in the amount of $7.145M with substantially
the same terms and conditions as presentedin Attachment 1.
