SUMMARY:
The City has been offeredgrant funding for the Parish Creek Fish Barrier Removal projectthrough
the Promoting Resilient Operations for Transformative, Efficient, and Cost-Saving Transportation
(PROTECT) Formula Program funding.The funding amount is $2,266,000 for design and
constructionand requires a 20% match. Council approval is requested
Local Agency Agreement from WSDOT Local Programs.

FISCAL IMPACTS(Include Budgeted Amount): The project will be budgeted in the Stormwater
Capital Fund for construction in 2026/2027.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to accept the PROTECTGrantfunding and approve the Local Agency Agreement with
WSDOT and authorize the Mayor to finalize and accept the agreement with the same terms and
conditions as presented.
