SUMMARY:
The purpose of this agenda bill is to seek approval for amending the Bremerton Municipal Code (BMC)
Section 3.02.010, Budget, and Structure, to transition from an annual budget to a biennial budget
beginning in 2025.
II. Background
Currently, the City of Bremerton operates on an annual budget cycle. Transitioning to a biennial budget
will allow for more strategic long-term financial planning, improve efficiency in budget management,
and provide better stability in financial operations.
