adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance working definition of antisemitism as an
additional tool to recognize and respond to hate speech and crimes. The proposed resolution is
similar to those that have been adopted by several cities and jurisdictions around Puget Sound,
nationally, and internationally. This item was continued from the December 13, 2023 Study Session.
President Chamberlin announced that due to the length of the current agenda and the importance of
Council receiving sufficient comment from members of the local community rather than comments
from national commentators, the Council has determined that in order to prioritize local community
comments, only in-person public comment will be accepted on this item unless prior arrangements
have been made as set forth in the agenda.
