RE: 30 Day Notice for Termination of Existing Parking Agreement
Dear Mayor Wheeler,
Thank you for considering this letter. The Port of Bremerton appreciates the cooperative
agreement with the City of Bremerton for temporary marina parking during construction of the
Marina Square Project. The agreement for parking at the 405 Washington Street garage has
been beneficial for Bremerton citizens, the marina tenants, and the Port of Bremerton.
The Temporary Certificate of Occupancy has now been issued by the City of Bremerton and ACE
Parking has been contracted to manage the new parking facility for the Marina Square project.
The completion of this beautiful development is a beneficial addition to the City of Bremerton
waterfront, bringing much needed housing, parking, and commerce to the area.
When the Port of Bremerton entered into the agreement with Sound West for the Marina Square
Project, who could have forecast the impacts of COVID to our local community these past years.
This is a wonderful resolution of the three-year journey for the Marina Square Project, the Port
of Bremerton marina tenants, and for the City. With this great news, this correspondence is
intended to serve as formal notification for a request to terminate the mutual 405 Washington
St. Garage parking agreement, per Section 3 of the existing lease agreement.
Please know that the City staff, and specifically Melinda Monroe have been exceptional to work
with throughout the process and the Port appreciates the efforts undertaken to help make this a
smooth process. The Port of Bremerton looks forward to ongoing opportunities to work
cooperatively with the City in new and exciting projects and mutually beneficial opportunities.
