SUMMARY:The court is requesting to change the current vacant position of the Therapeutic Court
Coordinator to a Service Support Specialist Position. This would allow the court to use this position at
a higher level of education requirement to be more in line with ARLJ 11. It would also align better
ore
collaboratively with treatment agencies, going to the jail to see if defendants would be eligible for the
program.

FISCAL IMPACTS(Include Budgeted Amount): There will be minimal fiscalimpact to the courts
budget, as we have not filled the position the support services position since Feb and the
Therapeutic position is funded through the State (AOC) and county grant funds. In addition, we did
receive the funding of the 1/10th from the county which provides funding for 1.5 staff.

Move to approve changing the vacant Therapeutic Court Coordinator position to a Service Support
Specialist position dedicated to the therapeutic court as the coordinator.
