SUMMARY:
The City executed a contract with Helix Design Group to design a remodel of the equipment services
facility for secure storage and other improvements on August 4, 2022. This Contract Modification
No. 1 (CM1) provides for additional architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing
design along withconstruction engineering support. The cost of this additional work is not to exceed
$31,000 bringing the total cost of the contract to $81,000. While the total cost of the contract is less
than $100,000, Council action is required since the cost of CM1exceeds 30% of the base contract
per BMC 2.76.110.

FISCAL IMPACTS(Include Budgeted Amount): Total cost is $81,000.00with this contract
modification, and is available in the project budget.
