SUMMARY:
The Fire Department would like to apply for a Port Security Grant through FEMA. This grant would
provide the funds necessary to purchase a new rescue/fireboat. This grant has a 25% matching
funds requirement. The current boat is an aging vesselwith limited capability. The hull is a 1991
Northwind Marinethat was repowered in 2018.The firefighting and electrical systems will need to be
replaced in the near future.The cabin on current boat does not allow for injured patients to receive
care inside.
