SUMMARY:City Council is required to formally appoint Committees to write statements to be
Bremerton City Council passed Ordinance No. 5471 to place a Property Tax Levy Increase for
Additional Public Safety Services on the August 1, 2023 Primary Ballot. The Fire and Police
Departments are asking for a property tax increase of $0.40 per thousand of assessed valuation.
This property tax increase will fund 17 new public safety full time employees, and the equipment and
training necessary to support these new employees
