SUMMARY:
Per Chapter 70A.205RCW,local governments are required to provide solid waste planning and
management. The City of Bremerton priorSolid and Hazardous Waste Management Plan ILA
expired in 2018 coinciding with thedrafting of our currentfive-year SHWMP. ThenextSHWMP

drafting process is scheduled to begin in the 4quarter of 2023, and the updatedInterlocal
Agreement for the provision ofSolid and Hazardous Waste Management Planning is presented for
this reason and the new planisexpected to be completed and preparedfor City of Bremerton review

andadoption in the 2quarter of 2024.
