SUMMARY: Request for chemical bids were submitted to four chemical suppliers in our area.
Three bids were received for the delivery ofbulk 12.5% Low -Salt Sodium Hypooh|n[itetothe
VVnntnideVVVVTP. HA8A, Inc. of Longvievv. WA submitted a bid for $0.059/oa||on delivered.
The bid also included a $150 split -load fee when a delivery is made to one of our Odor Control
Stations then the rest of the delivery to the Westside WWTP. The pricing will be firm for one year,
HAGA' |Do.'o bid was the lowest cost including tax. The sodium hypoCh|orite supplies our odor control
systems and our post chlorination eyatann.
ATTACHMENTS: 1) Sodium hypochlorite bids from HA8A. Inc.; JC| Jones Chemicals, Inc.;
Univar Solutions; and Northstar Chemical.
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): These purchases are covered under the Fund 451

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move tmapprove the bid topurchase bulk Low -Salt 12.5Y6Sodium
HypooNorite for a period of one year from HAGA. Inc. at a cost of$O.950/oaUon delivered and
authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement with substantially the same terms and
conditions aspresented.
