SUMMARY:
This project will replace the existing outdated wood play equipment and fall surfacing to enhance the
durability and accessibility of the Kiwanis Park playground.This upgrade is made possible through a
donation from the Kiwanis Club of Bremerton and a Department of Commerce Local and Community
Project no match grant presented to and approved by Council in November of 2022. The equipment and
surfacing pricing havebeen competitively solicited and publicly awarded through the Sourcewell
Cooperative Purchasing Agreement. Total Project Cost: $307,667.90, installation, freight and sales tax
included.

FISCAL IMPACTS(Include Budgeted Amount): The equipment and surfacing cost ($307,667.90) is
funded through a $130,000donation from the Kiwanis Clubof Bremertonand a $160,050 grant from the
Departmentof Commerce Local andCommunity Projectprogram. The remaining balance of
approximately $17,618 will be funded through the Parks Capital Construction Fund Balance and a
potential Bremerton Parks Foundation grant.

Move to approve the Goods and Services Agreement for the purchase and installation of playground
equipment and fall surfacing from Landscape Structures, Inc. in the amount of $307,667.90, sales tax
included, and amend the Parks Capital budget in the same amount and authorize the Mayor to finalize
and execute the agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
