SUMMARY:Chapter 67.28under the Revised Code of Washington
recommendations may either be accepted or rejected. If any individual recommendation is rejected
by City Council, then the proposed change must be submitted to the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee
for review and comment, allowing for up to 45 days before final action on the funding is taken. Funding
may only be allocated to the list of eligible applicants provided by the LTAC.
The LTAC receivedthirteen(13) requeststotaling$456,460.
After City Council provided further direction at the November 16Council Meeting, the LTAC met on
December 9 to reaffirm its recommendations.
The LTAC is now resubmitting 1) Funding Recommendations that
includes$220,000 for organizations; and 2) to acknowledge to the Admiral
Theatre for $90,000 annually with an additional$60,000through 2027 (approved by City Council), and
to the Kitsap Conference Center for $250,000 annually.This is for a grand total allocationof $620,000
for Fiscal Year 2023.
