SUMMARY:This project involves the relocation and replacement of the existing Pump Station14
with a new pump station that pumps from the E240 zone to the E398zone. The new pump station
will be located on City owned property near the intersection of Wheaton Way and Schley Blvd. This
project also includes water main improvementsto complete the loop between Homer Jones Drive
and Schley Blvd.
Five (5)bids were submitted, which were opened on October 13, 2022. The lowest responsive and
responsible bid was received from Prospect Construction, Inc.in the amount of $2,694,200.96,
including sales tax.

FISCAL IMPACTS(Include Budgeted Amount): The budgetedamount in the 2023 Water Capital
Budget is $1,988,213.00. This amount is estimated to be exceeded by$700,000.The cost increase
will be funded within the 2023 Water Capital Budget.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to awardthe agreement for the Pump Station 14 Relocation Project toProspect Construction,
Inc.in the amount of $2,694,200.96(including sales tax);and authorize the Mayor to finalize and
execute the agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
