CONTRACT AMENDMENT NO. 1
KITSAP COUNTY/CITY OF BREMERTON LEASE AGREEMENT FOR
USE OF FACILITIES AT 7266 TIBARDIS RD. NW, BREMERTON,WA
CONTRACT NO. KC-418-22A
This Contract Amendment("Amendment")is between Kitsap County,a municipal corporation
and political subdivision of the State of Washington,having its principal offices at 614 Division
Street, Port Orchard, Washington 98366("County")and the City of Bremerton,a municipal
corporation having its principal offices at 345 6th St.,Suite 100,Bremerton, WA 98337 ("City").
All provisions of KC-18-22("Contract')executed on September 26,2022,shall remain in full
force and effect except as expressly modified by this Amendment.
For valuable consideration and by mutual consent of the parties,the modifications to the
Contract arc as follows:
Section 1. Use of Premises,paragraph 1.6 ,is amended and replaced with the following:
1.6 The City shall perform routine maintenance on the interior of the building including
modifying a restroom to meet ADA usage requirements as defined in the 2010 ADA
Standards for Accessible Design, 28 C.F.R. 35.151 section 603. Included within this
routine maintenance shall be, by way of example but not limited to, carpet replacement,
new paint, adjustment of a door frame, and replacement of lighting/light fixtures.
Furthermore, routine maintenance by the City shall require prior approval by County,
which approval shall not be unreasonably withheld.Request for approval by City shall be
sent via email to County's designated representative(s)in Section 7 of this Agreement.City
must receive County's response to request for approval within ten (10) business days
otherwise approval shall be deemed granted for the improvements as proposed. City shall
require prevailing wages in all City contracts with contractors hired to perform routine
maintenance on the building.
Section 7.Representatives , is amended to add the following additional designated
representatives:

Section 1.Use of Premises,is amended to add a new paragraph"1.9"
New paragraph 1.9 shall read as follows:
1.9 The City shall perform an electrical panel upgrade that is necessary for new LED studio
lighting. This work shall consist of a modification to replace an existing semi-permanent
electrical sub-panel device and dimmer switches with a new permanent sub-panel with

single-pole switches in an existing electrical circuit.City will select a licensed and bonded
contractor to perform this work and said work shall be at the sole cost and expense of the
City. Prevailing wages shall apply.
Effective Date. This amendment will become effective on the date of the last signature of the
authorized parties.
Counterparts. 'this Amendment may be executed in several counterparts, each of which shall be
deemed an original,but all of which together shall constitution one and the same agreement.
Authorizations. The parties whose names appear below warrant that they arc authorized to enter
into a contract amendment that is binding on the parties of this Contract and that no further action
or approvals are necessary before execution of this Amendment.
