SUMMARY:
In August 2021, the City executed a contract with SCJ Alliance, Inc. for design of the Warren Avenue
Bridge Pedestrian Improvementsin the amount of $255,435.38. This proposed Amendment No. 1
increases the contract value by $149,225.42for a total of $404,660.80 and is for additional
alternatives analyses and public involvementwork. The work includes evaluation of five additional
design alternatives, structural analyses for three alternatives, environmental impacts and permitting
research, one additional stakeholder meeting,and revisions to the public and stakeholder
involvement approachrequiring additional effort.There is a time extension of the contract term thru
February of 2023.

FISCAL IMPACTS(Include Budgeted Amount): No budget adjustment is required. The budget is
included in the Transportation Capital Fund and is 100% grant funded with no city match.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approveContract Modification Agreement No. 1 to the Agreement with SCJ Alliancefor

finalize and execute the agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
