SUMMARY:The fire department is proposing to purchase two (2) new paramedic ambulances and
one (1) remounted/refurbished paramedic ambulance. All three vehicles will have a new Ford diesel
chassis. The box would have modifications and be refurbished. The total cost of the new and
remount/refurbish would be $686,139.89includingtax. The Fire Department is proposing to use the
sole source provision on this proposal.

FISCAL IMPACTS(Include Budgeted Amount): This is budgeted through the Fire Department and
ERR budgets. The total cost for the two (2) Purchases and one (1) Remount/Refurbish for is
$686,139.89 (includes tax).

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the purchase of two (2) new paramedic ambulances and one (1)
Remount/Refurbish from Braun NW, Inc. in the amount of $686,139.89, including tax, and authorize
the Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as
presented.
