SUMMARY:
The Forestry Division of Public Works and Utilities was historically managed by a Forestry Manager;
however,that position was eliminated in 2014 when the incumbent retired. Since 2014 Forestry has
been managed by 4 different Division Managers as an additional duty; this approach hasnot been
successful. The proposal is to restore the historic staffing from 2014 and entails transferringthe
incumbent in the Forest Service Specialist Senior position to a similar vacant position in another
Division of Public Works and creating aForestry Manager position.

FISCAL IMPACTS(Include Budgeted Amount): The cost to the Water Fund will increase by
approximately $60,000/year. Sufficient labor budget is available in the Water Fund; a budget
adjustment is not required.
