SUMMARY:The Professional Services Agreement withHelix Design Group, Inc. is for design of office
and space remodelfor the Equipment Services Division Building, at 104 Oyster Bay Avenue N. This is
to improve the common crew areas and the automotive parts storage on the main floor and add
mezzanine space above.This design will upgrade building systems and functions andwill provide a
staff lunchroom and training spaceas well ascorrect material storage issues identified from recent
inventory and building audits.The plan is to completethe designthis summer andadvertisefor
construction this fall.

The project is included in the Water Capital budget; the estimated cost is$175,000.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the Professional Services Agreement with Helix Design Group, Inc. for the equipment
services interior remodel/material storage project in the amount not to exceed $50,000.00, including
sales tax;and authorize the Mayorto finalize and execute the agreement with substantially the same
terms and conditions presented.
