SUMMARY:
The Cityreceived a loan from the Public Works Board to replace three fish blocking City owned
culverts on Ostrich Bay Creek totaling $4,687,968 at 1.66% interest. The first culvert replacement
was completed across Kitsap Way last year. The Price Road and Brentwood Drive Culvert
Replacements Project was bid early this year and received two bids with the low bid being $606,140
of approximately $534,311. Public Works Board staff notified the City it could request an increase of
up to $500,000 to the loan amount to address the shortfall. The City requested this increase and it
was approved at the Public Works Board May 6, 2022 meeting. This amendment formalizes the loan
increase.
