This memorandum of Understanding (M O U ) is agreed upon pursuant to the Labor
Management Article of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (C B A) between the City of
Bremerton (City) and the International Association of Firefighters Local #437 (Union)
The Collective Bargaining Agreement covers the period of January 1, 2013 through December
31, 2015 However, the City and the Union agree to the following
Effective the January 1, 2014 a general wage adjustment of 15%
The City will make a one -time deposit of twenty -four (24) hours into each
member's vacation bank, to be used per Article 8 - Vacation Use The deposit
will be made into each member vacation bank on within ten (10) working days of
this agreement being approved
The Union shall work with the Insurance Benefits Committee to evaluate
alternatives to the current insurance benefit plans during 2014 If an agreement
is reached on an alternative, implementation can occur as soon as legally
possible in 2014
The City and the Union agree they will reopen negotiations no later than June
2014 for the following articles only
Article 5 — Wages for 2015 (entire article)
Article 8 1— Vacation Accrual for 2015 (this Section only)
