SUMMARY:The City obtained an easement from the U.S. Governmentin 1971for an 8-inch water
mainunder the Navy railroad track located immediately north of Gold Mountain Golf Course, that has
expired. Thisnew easement will continue to allow the City the rights ofconstruction, installation,
maintenance, operation, repair, and replacement of the existing 8-inch water main, as well as two
future water mains that will be installed through a future36-inch casing. The new mains will improve
water service and allow for system redundancyat the golf course and in the W517 Zone (serving
Port of Bremerton).The cost of the easement is $625 and is for a 50-year term.
