SUMMARY:The project will rehabilitate approximately 9,000 lineal feet of sanitary and storm sewer
using the cure-in-place-pipe (CIPP) method and reinstateapproximately 160side sewers. The pipes
range in size from 8-inch to 18-inch diameter.
Threebidsweresubmitted, which wereopened on February 9,2022. The lowest bid didnot comply
with the bid specificationsand was rejected.The second lowest bid fromMichelsCorporation in the
amount of $1,033,366.87, including sales taxwas the lowest responsive and responsiblebid.

FISCAL IMPACTS(Include Budgeted Amount): The budget amount in the 2022Wastewater
Capital Budget and Stormwater Capital Budget for this project is $800,000and$250,000
respectively.

Move to award the contract for the 2022 Sewer Rehabilitation project toMichels Corporationin the

agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
