SUMMARY:
SCADA communication at the Eastside Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), and between pump
stations and the WWTP is problematic and prone to failure, due both to the variety of third -party
communications lines in use, and also due to outdated SCADA communications hardware. The
SCADA communication hardware at all of the remote pump stations and the WWTP is 25-years old,
obsolete and no longer supported, and prone to communications failures which results in a significant
number of after-hours call outs and emergency response. The Cisco SCADA communications
hardware was selected from the State Contract, and a cost evaluation was completed and is
attached. This hardware purchase from Presidio Networked Solutions Group, LLC includes
consulting labor to assist with installation.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount):
This equipment purchase totals $231,414.38, and is included in the Wastewater Capital Budget, at
$250,000

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the Professional Services Agreement with Presidio Networked Solutions Group,
LLC in an amount not to exceed $231,414.38; and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the
agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
